Prepping the Grounds for our Sacred Fire
A Look into Collective Energies for August 2026
Good day to all!
It's an astrologically and professionally busy time of the year so let's get into a quick energy check-in.

- Lunar North Node eclipse in Pisces occurring August 27th, 2026, at 11:12 p.m. CT
As many of you may be feeling, the energy around this month's astrological happenings is quite powerful. For myself, the lion's gate portal and the eclipses are bringing in a much needed pruning and revitalization of how I tend to myself, my dreams, and my business.
Drawing upon my experience and knowledge in the garden and the skies, it is hard to ignore the signs calling forth the need to prepare the grounds for our sacred fire so that it may share its light and warmth. The inner fiery passion that ignites who we are and how we move in this world finds its home in the center of our being.
Remember, intuition-led discernment, inspiration, and action comes through the senses of the body not the mind.
- Today and during this eclipse season, take a moment to notice any tightness or tension that wants to be acknowledged and given permission to exist and move through you at this time.
- In addition, try reconnecting to a sense you feel has been dimmed or dulled through new experiences or revisiting a fond memory. This may simply look like allowing your inner child to try out new sounds or movements.
For these prompts, I encourage getting into the mindset of play. When we engage with something with childlike curiosity expectations to perform tend to dissolve and what remains is a burning desire to try, and try again.
As energetic gateways open and the sun and moon become eclipsed this month, may the spark of inspirations we pick up and carry in our being transform into a roaring, whole-body-mind-heart-and-spirit-warming flame that makes even the darkness sparkle.
To connect with this intention more deeply I am writing a poem in response to the energy of this season which will be posted the day of the solar eclipse.
