Intention // Action

INDIGENEXUS recognizes that there is often an intention-action gap when doing personal and collective development work. To illustrate what we mean, let's take a look at a common riddle.

Three frogs are sitting on a lily pad when one of the frogs decides to jump off. How many frogs are now left on the lily pad?

Three.

While many may have said two, it is crucial to recognize that the frog only made a decision or had intended to jump, but it took no action. This riddle helps us conceptualize why what we say or think often takes little precedence over our actions, interactions, and ways of being.

So yes, we can make determinations about something, but if we do not act according to what we determine, our intentions behind it are rendered naught, for they never come to fruition.

Understanding the power of aligning intention and action as the summation of co-creation, we at INDIGENEXUS use intentions//actions to guide our work.

This choice helps us stay accountable, ensuring our work is truly generative and connective.

Through the following five intentions//actions developed for this space, we hope to cultivate in all members of the INDIGENEXUS community the compassion and clarity necessary for a kind of relationality that genuinely reflects our interconnection. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖.
  • INVITE IMAGINATION.

    • Open the door to reimagining the realities we create — individually and collectively, consciously and unconsciously. Allow the light and the winds of change to seep through that door, reawakening the dormant seeds of creativity.

  • ILLUMINATE ILLUSIONS.

    • Become intimate with the light within, know its refractions and reflections, and understand how certain interactions can lead to distortion and dimming. Through intimate knowing of ourselves, we can reveal the shadows we all cast, which must be integrated for authentic unity.

  • INSPIRE INQUIRY.

    • Stay curious with an open heart and humble mind, allowing others to witness another way. There is always more to learn and unlearn on this journey to realizing our innate capacities and nurturing our shared humanity.

  • INITIATE INNOVATION.

    • Take steps toward inspired action and change. Dissolve limiting, established paradigms and patterns to create room for more expansive, liberated ways of being aligned with our multi-dimensionality.

  • IGNITE INTERBEING.

    • Spark a new way of relating with yourself and others of and beyond this world. Lean into and feel the warmth of the connections that sustain all of us with seemingly incomprehensible universality.
