Full Moon Collective Energy for April 2025

The moon's phases in April are:
🌓 First Quarter: April 5.
🌕 Full Moon: April 13.
🌗 Last Quarter: April 21.
🌑 New Moon: April 27.
This month's Full Moon, known as the Pink Moon, will be visible on April 12-13, depending on your location.
Since it is the first full moon after the Spring Equinox, April's full moon is also known as a "Paschal Moon," which helps dictate the date of Easter — Sunday, April 20, 2025.
As a Micromoon, it will appear smaller and dimmer than usual due to its distance from the Earth.
According to NASA, a few other planets will also be visible in the sky along side the Full Pink Moon.
These other planets include:
- Mercury: Visible for a few days in the second half of April, extremely low in the east before sunrise.
- Venus: Rising low in the east in the hour before dawn.
- Mars: Bright and easy to view after dark all month. Setting a couple of hours after midnight.
- Jupiter: Bright and easy to spot in the west after dark, setting a couple of hours after sunset.
- Saturn: Visible low in the east below Venus, before dawn in the last two weeks of April.
Significance & Influences of the 2025 Pink Moon
This month's Full Pink Moon will help create a sense of balance as we close out last month's eclipse energy, which created an opportunity for a deep, energetic shift in how we use our narrative power.
However, with Venus retrograde ending in tandem with the Full Pink Moon, we may still need time to slow down and sort out our feelings and beliefs before springing forward to communicate them.
This lunar cycle reminds us that communicating our thoughts and feelings can lead to conflict or a sense of (in)justice. Yet, we can only make meaningful steps toward our greatest dreams and goals by speaking our truth or voicing our concerns in relationships.
April's Full Pink Moon in Libra guides us to continue the root work necessary to integrate changes and fearlessly come take inspired action toward our needs and desires.
Behind the Moon's Name:
In April, the Full Moon is commonly known as the Pink Moon. While the Moon does not feature a pink hue, it does mark the flush of color from the early spring flowers that bloom around this time.
In particular, the Moon gets its name from the creeping phlox (Phlox subulata, also known as moss pink or moss phlox), a vibrant pink wildflower native to eastern North America.
The April Full Moon is also known to Native Tribes across the Americas by the following names...

Since Libra is ruled by Venus, the lunar cycle emphasizes the ways love, sensuality, and passions manifest in our daily lives, especially our social relationships.
It is important to remember our limits during this lunar cycle. Practicality or a sense of restraint from overindulgence is important if we wish to establish long-term plans and promises regarding matters of the heart or our desires.
Moreover, these planetary influences encourage us to pursue creativity and connection, which may lead to pleasant outcomes if we approach them with an open mindset.
Cosmic Spring Cleaning
Under April 2025’s lunar cycle, the Moon asks us to address any mental fog or struggles obscuring our connection to our hearts.
While last month asked us to unravel the beliefs that harm and hinder our individual sense of self, this month focuses more on our interdependent sense of self — that is, how we socially exist and operate in relationships.
As an air sign, Libra's energy encourages us to lovingly and regularly check in with our minds and hearts. This practice makes it easier to recognize which patterns of thoughts or beliefs are clouding our mental and heart spaces and negatively impacting our relationships.
Often times such patterns of thoughts or beliefs are rooted in fear-based separation consciousness.
This type of consciousness allows dysfunction to flourish as it relies on brute force and intimidation to manifest its needs and desires. Lessening our dependence on fear-based separation consciousness takes time and effort, especially if it is deeply rooted in our lineage due to trauma.
However, the practice of moving through your being any old or stuck energies clogging up the mind or heart can help heal the root rot. When you dedicate time to this act of healing, you may find greater clarity and compassion surrounding the reverberations of pain across your lineage.
The process of moving something through you can take many forms.
- Physical movement
- Body-related practices include breathing exercises, dancing, stretching, shaking, tapping, spinning, and massage.
- Energetic movement
- Reflective and creative practices include singing, art-making, music-making, non-verbal sound-making, crafting, journaling, or expressive writing.
- Spiritual practices include ceremonial acts like sweating and smudging (alternatively, smoke medicine for Non-Indigneous relatives).
Among Indigenous People across the Americas, smudging is a culturally specific act of ceremony. While cultures vary in protocols, at its core, smudging is about remembering and reclaiming relationships with traditional medicines, particularly our kinship ties to medicinal plants.
The medicine offered by our Plant Kin provides a way to maintain energetic hygiene and reawaken blood memory through scent and sensation. Depending on the intention and the Plant Medicine, smudging helps to clear emotional or mental heaviness in a space or the body and even calls in spiritual energy to uplift prayers and bring healing.
Ultimately, smudging should be honored and respected as an act of prayer and kinship.
For non-Indigenous individuals, this involves using alternative terms and medicinal plants that align with their cultures rather than engaging in harmful, co-optive behaviors.
No matter what type of movement you choose, regular practice will support harmony rather than dysfunction. Over time, a shift towards a more unity-oriented consciousness is also possible.
Through the medicine of movement, we can draw clarity and confidence to the surface of our being. Once clear and aligned, we can then find a balance between our minds and hearts that will lead to inspired action.
Balancing the Energetic Scales
The Full Pink Moon reminds us that to balance our minds and hearts, we should understand the energies of masculinity and femininity.
As all beings do, we have access to divine masculine and divine feminine energies within us. Whether we choose to embody them or not is up to us.
Ultimately, we need masculine and feminine energies to manifest our dreams and goals. However, many people are too heavily identified with one energy or the other, often to their detriment and the sovereignty of other people.
As such, it is vital to recognize and reimagine the toxic manifestations of masculine and feminine energies that are encouraged by colonial and patriarchal systems.
Exercising our divine masculine energy to pursue opportunities or make long-term plans often requires restoring mental energies through exercises of our divine feminine energy.
For instance, meditation, dream-time interpretation, or other introspective practices that encourage rest and deep listening to the heart's inner voice can help us have a clearer and more responsive mind.
The Moon, with its many phases mirroring menstrual patterns, embodies divine feminine energy's sensual and ever-changing nature.
Tapping into the wisdom of the heart requires slowing down and engaging all our available senses. If done correctly, we can give form to the messages that the often neglected or subdued parts of ourselves wish to share.
From our intuitions to our inner children and even the lineages that brought us into being, our ability to receive such messages becomes a powerful tool for responding rather than reacting to any pain, conflict, or struggle that may arise.
Springing into inspired action
Mirroring the seasonal shifts, this lunar cycle encourages us to spring into action after re-awakening an aligned sense of agency, which tends to lay dormant due to energetic imbalances.
Using facts and feelings, logic and intuition, reason and sense, we can exercise the combined intelligence of the mind and heart in our decision-making process.
Since the Full Pink Moon will be in the sign of Libra, great emphasis is placed on making decisions that make us feel confident in our power and ability to focus our attention.
Be sure to apply the skills you have learned thus far to achieve your goals, pursue your passions, and creatively solve any issues you may face.
Remember, where attention goes, energy flows. Magic is possible through intention and determination.
Now is an ideal time to sit with and answer any questions that have been on your mind or heart for a while. Whatever comes through when we take the time to listen can help break down any walls of doubt about our next steps.
May the rotten roots of our lineages be healed and re-establish themselves as sources of strength and wisdom. May we remember the profound magic of our senses and the combined intelligence of our minds and hearts as we manifest our needs and desires through inspired action. May we all become the loving, harmonizing shift we seek to see in the world by stepping into our power and truth as energetically balanced beings.
With love,
mgmc
